We've been relaxing and recovering from colds this week. I finally got the house cleaned last night but still have decorations to take down. It's been nice to have some new toys in the house to keep the kids busy. Austin is obsessed with his trains. He loves them! Kaylee is loving her PSP. That's all she wanted this year and she got it. Hope this is the last year for video game stuff for her!

Happy New Year!
I can't believe it's the last day of 2009! Where has this year gone? I'm excited for what lies ahead in the next year but also sad to leave another year behind. We had a great Christmas with both sides of Ryan's family. It was nice to have more time with them this year. We missed the Parks Christmas but we're still going to get together to exchange gifts. We had a beautiful white Christmas but it kept us from being able to travel to Illinois to see my folks.

'Tis the season
Wow! I can't believe Christmas is next week. I love this time of year but it's going way too fast. My friend Dustie and I took Austin and Hayden to the mall to visit Santa. It was fun and the best part for Austin was the train ride afterwards. Hope everyone is enjoying this Christmas season!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! My folks came to town and my sister had everyone over for a big turkey dinner. We had such a nice relaxing time together. It was awesome! The food was good too! And the guys even cleaned up afterwards. After dinner I noticed Austin's eye was really red. Now I get to go to the doctor tomorrow to find out if we have pink eye. Yes, I might have it too. And I get to clean and disinfect the house this weekend. Just what I wanted to do! The only plus is maybe the doctor's office will be the one place that isn't busy tomorrow.

Blowing bubbles
Austin and I had such a nice time outside on Saturday while Ryan and Kaylee studied for her driver's permit test. It was so awesome to have a beautiful 70 degree day in November! I love watching him blow bubbles. It's one of those moments that I didn't want to end!

Happy Halloween!
Other than the weather not cooperating for Beggar's Night last night, we have had a great Halloween. Ryan and Austin carved a pumpkin Thursday night and last night we took the kids trick-or-treating. We headed to the mall for a little bit then took to the streets. Now there's way too much candy in this house!

Snow?
Yes, that's right! We had snow on the ground when we got up Saturday morning. I was so bummed. What happened to our nice autumn weather? After this week it better return. Here's Austin all excited to go outside except he forgot his coat!

Homecoming Dance
Tonight was Kaylee's first Homecoming Dance! I'm only on the computer this late because I'm waiting for her to get home. It's so hard to believe that she's old enough to be going to a high school dance. Where's my little tomboy in red overalls and pigtails? She's so grown up and has turned into such a remarkable young lady!

Rainbow of Hope
It has been quite a week but tonight God showed me a rainbow. Beginning Wednesday night Austin couldn't keep anything down for almost 3 days. It was one of the worst things I've been through as a parent. But yet, at the end of such a tough tribulation I finished it with a beautiful rainbow before me as I get off the interstate tonight. Thank you, Lord Jesus.

Sweet baby girl
Leah is such a little sweetie! She has been such a good baby for me. Today I put her in the Bumbo and she really liked it. She sat up and watched Austin play with his toys. He was talking to her and she looked at him like she understood what he was saying. It was so funny!

Full House
I'm going to have a full house tomorrow! I'm so excited to babysit my little niece, Leah. She's almost 12 weeks old. It's been a while since we've had a little one in our daycare family but I think the kids are going to love having a new baby around and Leah will enjoy the entertainment these kids can offer.
A few weeks ago I took in a couple more kids. Duncan is 2 years old and calls me Miss Sarah. Isn't that sweet? I'm also taking care of Addison who is 21 months old. She's my lap buddy. She's going to have some competition with Leah but I know she'll be a good little helper.

Austin's big day
Austin had his first day of preschool last week. It was so exciting! I was nervous about it but he did great. And I didn't even cry! I almost did when he ran out afterwards. He just looked so happy! First thing he told me was they got to have a snack. He's always excited about snack time! Today when I picked him up he said he wanted to go back to school so I know he's liking it.

Proud Aunties
My sister and I are so proud of our new niece. She's growing so fast! Somedays it's still hard to believe my brother is a dad but Leah is the apple of his eye!

Here's my first niece, Maddy with Uncle Dan. Isn't she the cutest? She looks like Bam-Bam with her little ponytail. I can't believe she's going to be 1 years old soon. She's such a good baby! People can't believe how content she is!

Thanks for all the great pics Molly!

State Fair Time!
Another great time of year has come and gone. We love the state fair! There's so much to see and do there and now with Austin into it as much as we are, it makes for a lot of family fun. We went with Ryan's dad, Brian and his girlfriend, Vilma. Kaylee wanted to go with her friends this year!

Baby Hayden
I was so excited when my really good friend asked if I'd be interested in babysitting her little boy. I've known him since the day he was born. Austin has always called him 'Baby Hayden'. He's not a baby anymore but he is my youngest for now. I love his storytelling and his little voice. He's such a happy kid. I'm so delighted to have him apart of our daycare family.
The day Hayden was born!
He fit right in even on his first day!
Water baby
Austin can't get enough of the water especially when it's hot out and that's the only thing to do outside. I wonder if he's going to be a swimmer like his mommy and aunt and uncle. I gotta get this kid in some swimming lessons.

Do you hear that? No.....Exactly!
That is a quote by my brother-in-law, Shane. He said my kids make great birth control for him and Natalie. We can't get enough of our kids but sometimes we crave for the sound of silence. I don't get a lot of that these days so when it comes along I really treasure it. Some peaceful moments at the lake were:

- Laying out on the dock
- Going for a bike ride
- Watching the boaters go by
- 'Our last night adult cruise'
Good girls go bad
Natalie and I had to get in some tubing along with the young girls! We got a little crazy but we had some 'good times'! We did it last year and knew we'd go again this year. By the second to last day we knew our time was running out so we jumped in our tubes and got our butts whooped!
