A boy and his dog

So every little boy should have a dog to run and play with. Well, this little boy's dog likes to sleep. Austin really loves Duke and Duke puts up with Austin. They're good together most of the time. Especially times like these.

Our St. Patrick's Day

We had fun hanging out with our old neighbors who were in from out of town. It was so good to see them and their kids! Austin and Duncan were best buds by the end of the day. We went swimming with them on Monday but I forgot to take pictures!

This is the best picture I could get. They were hugging but I wasn't quick enough with the camera.

So I've been a little busy...

It's okay Dukie

Everytime we leave the house Duke howls or cries. I always tell him he'll be okay and to go lay down. Austin is now taking on the role of consoling Duke everytime we leave. He'll say, "It's okay, Dukie. Go take nap." Today Austin went to grab a kleenex and I thought he was going to wipe his nose with it. Instead he ran over to Duke and wiped Duke's eyes. I'm usually the one who's doing that! I think Austin needs a little brother or sister to take care of. Don't you?

Potty talk

So we've been having the 'potty talk' with Austin for some time. He's very interested in it and everything that goes along with it. He's yet to go in the potty but is very willing to try.


He sat and sat and sat just like Joshua in the book "Once Upon a Potty". And just like Joshua I hope he figures out what he needs to do on that potty.
