Father's Day

We had a wonderful Father's Day. We celebrated it with both sides of the family. It was a busy day but worth it. Ryan had a rough finish to the day. He got pulled over on the way home from Boone. The state trooper was kind enough to issue a citation for only 5 over. Ryan was actually going 20 over. I'm usually the one who speeds so it was weird when we got pulled over. Ryan and I didn't even realize how fast he was going. Kaylee and I were blasting the music and singing and he was distracted by us. We'll have to be more careful next time. Also, Ryan turned 32 a week ago. Usually his birthday falls on Father's Day but not this year. It was nice to have two seperate days to celebrate him. He's such a special dad to the kids and the kind of husband you fall in love with over and over. I love you, Sweetie!

Wanna suck?

Austin calls suckers "suck". And is always kind enough to ask me if I wanna suck. And I always say no thank you. He can't get enough of suckers, actually sugar-free suckers. Austin and Adam enjoyed a sucker one day when it was only the two of them. I don't think I could do suckers for more than two kids. It gets a little messy!

And one more makes 5

Zoey's brother, Trenton, is coming here for a few weeks this month. He's a very lovable kid and likes to crack himself up. He has one of those full belly laughs. It's pretty cute! I get more hugs and kisses from him than all the kids put together. He is a little over 2 years old so he fits in well with the boys.

School's out!

Kaylee had her last day of 8th grade on Thursday. Wow! I can't believe she's going into the 9th grade! Kaylee and her BFF, Lydia, enjoyed their first couple days of summer by going to the pool, attending a party in the neighborhood, going out for ice cream, having a sleepover and watching movies all night. They popped in on Friday all dressed up and acting goofy. Lydia's brother, Graham, was dressed up in girls' clothes. What little brothers will do for their big sisters! Austin watch out. You might be next.
